About the Client
Finale Fireworks is dedicated to providing software for fireworks professionals and hobbyists. The company’s original 2D scripting software, Finale Business, has been used to design thousands of shows worldwide since its release in 2009. The company’s current flagship product, Finale 3D, is the successor to Finale Business.
Project Objectives
The client from the USA wanted to go all guns blazing and improve the user experience. As a result, Finale 3D was looking for an eCommerce solution for selling the license/subscription of the firework software. A web solution using which the customers can purchase the appropriate license to access the Finale Fireworks software.
Also, the client wanted to build a community platform for the user to interact and communicate over the forum. The web developers at Bytes Technolab also were responsible to incorporate user engagement activities, for instance, monthly photo contests.
The Challenge
To enhance the user experience and empower the end-users the client wanted to provide end-to-end accessibility to the front-end. A simplified front-end with a user-friendly interface was needed to be built with a diverse accessibility features.
For all the software license-related things we need to communicate with the client’s existing platform with the website, where all the operations happen via Finale 3d server. So the website needs to be synced with the client software platform with real-time user and data.
The Solution
After resource selection and team formation, a brainstorming session was held to decide the roles and journey of the project. A full-fledged web platform was built by integrating the EDD (Easy Digital Downloads) eCommerce platform for selling the online license/subscription for the Finale fireworks software.
PayPal & Stripe payment gateway integration was implemented using which customers could purchase the license plan as per their requirements.

- Forums and community for the user base.
- Monthly photo contest and winner declaration based on user votes.
- Pyro points concepts on new posting and other rewards.
